BMP-1 (designated as BWP-1 in Poland) is a Soviet infantry fighting vehicle introduced into service in 1966. It was a pioneering design and is considered the first mass-produced infantry fighting vehicle constructed from scratch in the world. Today, it is quite outdated but still in use by the Polish Army.
