The BRDM-2 is a Soviet armored reconnaissance vehicle that has been widely used since the 1960s. Equipped with a 14.5mm KPVT machine gun and a 7.62mm PKT machine gun, the BRDM-2 provides fire support and advanced reconnaissance capabilities. The vehicle is characterized by excellent mobility, with the ability to swim and independent suspension. As is typical of Soviet designs, the focus was on mass production and simplicity of operation rather than crew comfort or precision engineering. The BRDM-2 was exported to many countries, including Poland, East Germany, Egypt, and Syria, where it was used in various armed conflicts.
