BRDM-2 9M66 AT-5 Spandrel

The BRDM-2 9M66 AT-5 Spandrel is a Soviet armored reconnaissance and anti-tank vehicle based on the BRDM-2 chassis. Equipped with an AT-5 Spandrel (9M113 Konkurs) guided missile launcher, this vehicle provided effective fire support against tanks and other armored vehicles. The BRDM-2 Spandrel is characterized by excellent mobility, thanks to its amphibious capability and independent suspension, allowing it to operate in a variety of terrain conditions. As is typical of Soviet designs, the focus was on mass production and ease of operation rather than crew comfort or precision engineering. The vehicle was exported to many countries, such as Poland, East Germany, Egypt, and Syria, where it was used in various armed conflicts.
