5 models TKS and TK-3 Tankettes
Description: The TKS and TK-3 are Polish tankettes that were developed and produced in the 1930s, playing a key role in Polish mechanized units before World War II. These light reconnaissance vehicles replaced the older TK and TK-S tankettes.
TK-3:
The basic version in this series, typically armed with a single wz. 25 machine gun. It was characterized by its light weight and was relatively simple to produce. Designed for reconnaissance operations and infantry support.
TKS:
An improved version of the TK-3 with stronger armor and better armament. Some of these vehicles were equipped with a 20 mm anti-tank gun, significantly enhancing their combat capabilities.
Versions:
TK-3 standard: Basic version with a machine gun.
TKS with a machine gun: Standard version of the TKS.
TKS with a 20 mm gun: Upgraded version with an anti-tank gun.
Usage: These tankettes were mainly used for reconnaissance tasks and as support for infantry, and their mobility and small size made them difficult targets. During the September 1939 campaign, the TKS and TK-3 tankettes actively participated in combat, despite their relative weakness compared to larger German tanks.
